[Thinkpad] Building a digital photo frame out of a 600e

I've been thinking about building my own digital picture frame for quite a
while, and I think I would like to do it with my 600e since I don't really
use it anymore. (The screen being awesome has some to do with it too).
Has anyone attempted this? The thing that scares me the most is moving
the screen around and how to position everything so that the cable from
computer to LCD isn't under too much stress. Does anyone have any
pointers about how to do this? It's recently expired from warranty, so I
don't have to worry about voiding it. I would consider it pretty cool
(but not necessary) to keep the main frame such as keyboard, etc. around
so that if need be I can put it back in the dock and use it with an
external monitor.
