TP560E - Have external CDRom Drive via Parallel Port, Linux Drivers?

I have a TP560E with external Floppy Drive. Have just this moment bought
external (Parallel Drive) CDRom Drive with floppy software which I
presume won't work on my TP - Mandrake 7.0 is installed and uses most of
the 2.1Gb Hard Disk apart from the built-in Easy Setup, could you please
advise what Linux software I need to install it, and where I can
download it (to my Desktop computer that is, I don't have a modem on the
TP).
