About the ultrabay internal zip drive. What speeds do you get on those as compared to the
internal HD. I have the paralell port variant and its pretty slow, but very convenient for moving data
to and from differnet computers and backup, but even though its possible to run applications directly from the
zip drive its to slow to actually be usefull.

You who have the ultrabay internal zip can you just put a bunch of applications (oh well 1 or two per disk with todays software) and just run them from the disk without transfering to the HD. This might be something to warrant a purchase
of one of these units. It would be greater even if you could boot off the zip, but i guess thats impossible. Then one could
experiment away with odd flawors of Linux and openstep BeOS, or whatever they come up with next....

(Im afraid the coolness factor of an internal zip drive alone doesnt motivate me enough when the price is > several 100 $ :-)

Whats your exerienses/thoghts ?

Peter
